FDR State Park

How to get there: From the Taconic, take the exit for Franklin D Roosevelt State Park.  Or from the Taconic, take Route 202 East almost 1/2 mile.  The entrance is on the right.

 

Summary: Park in lot 2 to be closest to the playground.  Head left out of the parking lot onto the main road, walking against traffic on the left side.  Follow the road past lot 1 and the exit to the Taconic.  You’ll head down and up a hill, passing a gravel road.

Follow the road left, away from the pool lot and police station.  Head down hill, passing lots 6 and 5.

At the fork, veer left and head up the hill and around the corner, passing lots 4 and 3.

Walk back into lot 2 and head to the playground.  There are picnic tables and restrooms nearby.  Big open fields.  Courts near lot 1.
