Type of Hike: loop
Trail Condition: trail, rocky

How to get there: From the Taconic, head east on 100/133. Follow 133 as it turns right and right again. The park will be on the right about 1.5 miles from the TSP.
Summary: From the parking lot near the playground, head over to look for ducks and turtles on the pond platform. To start the hike on the red trail, you’ll cross the street toward the restrooms. A little way into the trees will be the markers to begin.
Head uphill on red, passing blue, on a wide path. You’ll pass orange trails as they connect trails or lead to fields. Stay on red. The trail will head down to a little wet area with a small bridge over the stream.
When you come to the fork, take yellow. Pass the first orange trail leading to the left.
Take the second orange trail you meet on yellow down toward the pond. You’ll be able to walk right next to the water as you head right on red and back to the parking lot.
Hang out on the wooden playground. There are picnic tables and a large, flat, shady area above the wall in the back. Check out the sandbox, swings, open field and hill (which is great for sledding), and two playscapes.
