How to get there: From I84, head into CT. Take exit 1. Right on Saw Mill Rd > Ridgebury Rd. Left on George Washington Highway. Right Old Mill Rd > Neds Mountain Rd. The parking lot is even with Bogus Rd. It can fit 7 cars (more if people park sideways like a parking lot) and a few on the road.
Address to get you close: 216 Ned’s Mountain Rd, Ridgefield, CT
Summary: From the parking area, head straight on orange, past the kiosk. It’s a slow, steady climb uphill on a wide path. There are lots of dog walkers. Keep heading straight on orange for about 3/4 mile, ignoring the few trails veering off the sides.
At the top of the hill, you can continue a few minutes down a steep hill to check out the pond and come back.
Turn onto the green trail. This has a few ups and downs at the beginning but is downhill to the parking lot. This side is rockier and more narrow. It also has better views of the stone in the hillside.
