Review:
This place has everything for everyone. There is a paved path from the lot to the playground for strollers and picnic tables just outside the perimeter. More picnic tables and bbq under the trees but the ground can be soggy.
The playground is roughly split between big and little kids. There is a larger play set, a climbing wall, a climbing “rock” formation, tall spinning stools for the 5-12 range. The 2-5 side has a play set with 4′ platforms, a small climbing wall, climbing cubes, a spinning seat, and bouncy seats.
The playground had so much to do but was very spread out with several blind spots. It was hard to wrangle and watch twin toddlers!
There are basketball courts and concessions a short walk away, close to lot 1. There are open fields a short walk in either direction.

How to get there: From the Taconic, take the exit for Franklin D Roosevelt State Park. Or from the Taconic, take Route 202 East almost 1/2 mile. The entrance is on the right. Park in lot 2.
