Address: 2610 NY-35, Katonah, NY 10536
Summary:
From the lower level of the parking lot, begin on the paved walkway. Head down a short distance.
Make a left on the yellow train and head into the woods. Pass the red trail to your right.
At the yellow intersection, hang a left.
There will be another yellow fork and you’ll want to head right, away from the parking lot. Stay on yellow, heading toward Route 35 for less than a quarter-mile.
At the intersection, head right again. This runs parallel with 35 for a short distance.
You can make a right at either of the next two yellows. They’ll join together and both head straight, going away from 35. You’ll pass unmarked trails to your left.
At the four-way intersection, keep straight on red. Follow it down and around back to the yellow trail you started on. (I’ve done this a few times and have never seen the green trail)
Turn left on yellow and take it to the paved walkway.
Head left on the walkway and check out the Veterans monuments down the hill.
When you’re done, retrace your steps back up the walkway to the parking lot.
It is worth entering the arboretum to check out the plants and flowers.
