Summary:
From the parking area, walk up the paved driveway (there is one red blaze that looks like it could possibly follow the trail into the woods right there but that is private property). Continue up the driveway toward the house, keeping to the left. You’ll pick up the trail on the left and shortly see a sign with maps. Continue following the red trail until it comes to an intersection.
Hang a right following the sign for Furnace Dock Road. When this dead ends, (you could continue right to Furnace Dock Road, make a left on the road and join the McAndrews Estate hike then come back to this point) make a sharp left on the white trail and follow it down the hill.
At the next intersection, stay straight/right onto the blue trail and follow it around the edge of the hill with seasonal views of the Hudson.
It’ll come back up and meet the white trail again. Here you want to turn left and go check out that cool stone platform. If you choose to climb it, watch little ones near the edge. It would be a great place for a picnic.
When you’ve checked it out, head back the way you came (left with the stone structure to your back) until you reach that intersection with the blue trail.
Head left, staying on the white trail and follow it as it winds around and down to cross a stream. Follow it back up to the intersection with the red trail.
Make a right on red and head back to the parking area.
